iLEP (Live Electronic Patch) is the culmination of a lengthy collaboration between composers and software engineers, aimed at developing a live-electronic instrument that shines brightest when paired with an acoustic musical instrument. It is particularly well-suited for concert performances.
The initial iteration of LEP was crafted in Max-MSP by Wolfgang Heiniger and Thomas Kessler, with subsequent enhancements by Thomas Seelig. Seelig later revamped the original version and adapted it for the iOS operating system, enabling the app to operate on the iPad, expanding its potential applications. Oliver Greschke later contributed to the app's completion.
